WORSE DREAMS COME TRUE ON THE SHOW!
Ok, so in the show there are two races of aliens, the Narns (rep. by Ambassadar G'Kar) and the Centauri, (rep. by Ambassadar Londo Mollari) and both of them had been at war for some time.
From what i heard (repeat, i heard), the Narns were actually slaves to the Centauri till they managed to gain their freedom by force and be independent.
But on today's episode, G'Kar was told by his superior that the Narns still had a chance to beat the Centauri and gain more time to make a comeback at them, for the Centuari were proving stronger and ovethrowing their colonies. G'Kar was told that by destroying a Centauri planet that held their supplies, they would be able to gain more time, and it was worth leaving only minor defences to care for the Narn homeworld for it was meant to be a quick job.
Send the fleet of battleships, blast the planet, go back.
But on the other hand, the Centuari were somehow able to intercept this information, and Mollari was asked by his superiors to 'call in his allies' to the supply planet to take care of the Narns while the rest of their fleet attacked the Narn's lightly guarded homeworld and beat it down entirely, civilians and all.
Mollari's 'allies' were in fact known as the Shadows who were by far much stronger than the Narns and Centuaris alike, the bad guys really, but he didn't know that. All he needed to do was call someone he knew, and it'd be 'taken care of.'
So reluctantly, Mollari agreed.
Having heard something strange going on, Dr. Franklin of Babylon5 informed G'Kar that chances are the Centuari had some kind of plan, and G'Kar figured it out but could not convince his superiors to withdraw from the planned attack.
The attack was carried out, but upon arrival at the planet, all the Narn ships, containing thousands, were destroyed, literally sliced in two by the Shadows.
Meanwhile, the Centuari ships arrived at the Narn homeworld, and without defences, hundreds of thousands of Narn civilians were killed, infastructure were destroyed, supplies were depleted and soon there was not enough medical supplies to help the people.
Although Mollari didn't like it, he coninued to do his job.
G'Kar, knowing all that happened, was then asked by his people to ask for santuary on Babylon5, for they all knew they would not be able to hold out by themselves. Having fought for their freedom by themselves, it was hardest for G'kar to do so, for it meant that once again, they were losing their freedom.
Then the Centuari came up with a treaty of some kind, if they were to spare what was left of Narn.
-For every Centuari killed by a Narn after the war, 500 Narns will be exercuted. Starting with the killer's whole family.
-What was left would be controlled by the Centuari
-Authorities of the Narns were to be relived of their positions and trailed as war criminals
-The Centuari would hold all Narn colonies,
-etc.
During a council meeting, Mollari stated that G'Kar could no longer be an ambassadar of Narn, and would be sent to be trailed as a war criminal as well.
John and Delem were present at the meeting, and objected, for G'Kar had asked for santuary for his people, and could therefore stay on Babylon5 although he was no longer an ambassadar. But the second he left, the Centuari would have him so he cannot leave.
G'Kar accepted this, telling Mollari that eventaully, no matter how long it took, the Narns would be freed once again.
I kind of supported the Narns side of the fight some time ago, and this episode got to me big time.
The Narns are pretty much losing everything again, including their freedom, and once again have to ask help from others.
I bloody hope this doesn't last in the show.
